This regatta is organized by Malletts Bay Boat Club in conjunction with the J/24 and J/80 Class Associations.

Rules

The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), and the J/24

and J/80 Class Association rules, this Notice of Race, the Sailing Instructions, and any amendments thereto.

Eligibility

The regatta is open to all J/24 and J/80. Competitors must meet all ownership, class membership, and yacht

measurement requirements, and must complete all aspects of the registration process to become official

participants. Final crew weigh-in will take place prior to the skippers’ meeting at 09:30 on Saturday, September 23.

All official participants are subject to inspection and measurement at any time during the regatta.

Entry and Fees

The entry fee for this regatta is $75.00 (US) per yacht which includes use of the club facilities, hoist, docks,

overnight mooring for Friday and Saturday night, launch service, and four (4) Saturday night dinner tickets.

Additional dinner tickets may be purchased in advance for $10.00 each. Please notify us of your intention to dine

On the last day of the regatta, no warning signal will be made after 14:00.

Scoring

The Low Point scoring system RRS Appendix A will be used, modified, such that all completed races will be scored

with no throw-outs. This modifies rule A2. A single race will constitute a regatta and all races will count.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to top three finishing places.

Launching and Rafting

The Malletts Bay Boat Club is equipped with a 3-ton hoist. If you prefer to launch by travel lift, please contact

Marty Olsen for information on local boat yards. Boats will be moored and rafted. Any available moorings will be

assigned in the order registrations are received. Remaining boats will be rafted off our main docks. Please bring

plenty of fenders and lines in preparation for rafting.

From South: I-89 to Exit 16. Right onto Route 7 (North). Follow approx. 2 miles. Left at light onto Blakely Road.

Follow to intersection at Malletts Bay. Straight onto Lakeshore Dr. Club 0.7 mi. on right.

From North: I-89 to exit 17. Left at end of exit ramp. Right on Route 7 for about 3 miles. Turn right towards Malletts

Bay on Bay Rd., opposite Mobil station. Follow around bay until traffic light. Right on Lakeshore Dr. Club 0.7 mi. on

right.
