LC-PHRF Spring Meeting Minutes

6:45 Meeting called to
order.

Bob DeSorbo will be a rep from LCYC this year, replacing Tony Lamb.
LCYC’s other two reps are Walt Marti and John O’Rourke. VSC’s reps are
Chris Duley, Brian Dowling and Kjell Dahlen. MBBC’s reps are Rod Carr,
Mark Gardner and Alan Ouellette. RSYC’s rep is Adam Dantzscher.

Walt Marti was re-elected Chairman for 2012. Adam Dantzscher was
re-elected Vice Chairman and Rod Carr was re-elected Secretary.

Discussion was held and Point au Fer Sailing Club will join LC-PHRF in
2012. Their reps will be Marius D’Eschambeault and Marc Deslauriers.

After discussion with Bill Fastiggi, a new Asymmetrical Spinnaker
Adjustment Schedule for ODR boats was devised. It was voted on and
approved that this Schedule will replace the existing one in our Bylaws.

After discussion is was voted to no longer use Article 5.3.7 of our
Bylaws.

Discussion took place on the rating for the A Class Cat. It was decided
further study was needed.

Follow-up discussion took place on 2011 rating questions: Will Patten’s
rating will be adjusted to reflect his 3 blade solid prop. Miro needs
to submit a new application to reflect his new genoa. Noah Dater does
not need to submit a new application.

Discussion took place on new boats needing to be rated. Further
research will take place on Jerrold Manock’s modified Colgate 26 before
it is rated. Dana Bolton’s J/95 was rated 108. Jeff
Roger’s Pearson 31-2 was rated 165.

After discussion and a vote it was decided that in Article 2.1 of our
Bylaws that we will replace the word “enforce” with “uphold”. It was
also decided to add: “A boat racing on Lake Champlain will be scored
using the rating approved by LC-PHRF and listed in our Data Base.”
at the end of Article 2.1. In Article 2.2 it was decided to eliminate:
“available for inspection by any elected or appointed representative
of a member club or organizing authority PHRF committee.”
